Our Bengals are registered with TICA.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bengals
-
Yes! Bengal cats have a lot of personality and they love their people. They make great companions. They are an active cat, so I always suggest that people either get a cat wheel, or a nice cat tree to give them plenty of exercise.
-
I recommend an all natural cat litter. Bangles tend to be very sensitive to smells so I like to suggest avoiding anything with added perfume. Such as fresh step. Personally, I use an all natural wood chip. There are several different brands any of which would be a good choice for your Bengal kitty.
-
Absolutely! All of our Bengal kittens are raised around dogs. We have a variety of dogs starting with a Yorkie all the way up to a Great Pyrenees!. The kitties get along with all of them exceptionally well. Of course the bangle is the boss :-)!

Originally Egyptian Maus, (which are your only naturally spotted domestic cat) was bred to an Asian leopard. This is what originated the breed of the bangle. Most of the time now, though your bangles are bred five generations down to another bangle who is also five generations down from The Asian leopard.
Creating a wonderful domestic cat! not only beautiful, but also with the active nature and high intelligence of the exotic Asian leopard.

A high quality dry kibble is good. Personally, I always suggest science diet for the active cat.
I also like to treat mine with boiled chicken approximately once to twice a week. Chicken livers are also an excellent source of protein for the kitties.

Again, Bengal cats tend to be active so I do believe that they require something to exercise on like a nice cat tree. I have also found that you can easily harness train Bengal cats and take them for walks much like you do dogs. The neighbors will love that!

For the most part, yes. Bengal cats do not produce the dander that most people are allergic to. However, cats are self cleaning face and some people are allergic to the saliva.

I do not promote decline any Cat because it is a very invasive surgery right up there with amputating your fingers!
However, it is fairly easy to train them not to Use your furniture as a scratching post. Make sure you purchase a nice cat tree. That has sisal rope on it. I then rub dry cat nap on the sisal rope weekly. It really attracts the kitties to it and they love using it for scratching.
Another strong reason not to declaw any cat, as in case they would get outside even accidentally. The main line of defense for a cat is to climb a tree!

Bengal cats are expected to live 12-16 Years. Outside cats only have a life expectancy of 2 to 3 years. I would not want my Bengal cat or Bengal kitten allowed outside!
